ASK BILL GATES

a poem about money.jpeg

If the gates of wealth opened
While savoring
the waters of Snoqualmie

Ask him
if he beckoned on riches
while fiddling the framed
wealth of his moneyed ancestors.

Ask him
If he bribed the god of success
Or paid the god in kind
To cast its lot on him.

bill gates

Ask Bill gates
If the famed choose him
Among peers of dreamers
Too frenzied to chase a lofty dream.

Ask him
If he thread the lane of success
Devoid of bends and potholes
or dents and scratches.

Ask Bill Gates
Let him tell you the garden of riches
Where the tree reside
That showers him with endless wealth
