Union Bank Campus Innovation Challenge 2018
The Campus Innovation Challenge is a Union Bank initiative (in partnership with CcHub) that aims to discover and support students engaged in entrepreneurial activities across tertiary institutions in Nigeria.
The top 3 ideas will receive immediate cash funding of 1.5 Million Naira, 1 Million Naira and 500 Thousand Naira respectively towards creating a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) for your ideas. There will be incubation support via CcHUB’s incubation services with full engagement with Union Bank.
This opportunity is open to all students in Nigeria tertiary institutions.

GreenHouse Lab for Women-led technology startups 2018Application Deadline: August 15, 2018
GreenHouse Capital is now accepting applications for its GreenHouse Lab for Women-led technology startups 2018. The accelerator programme is a three months long programme targeted at technology startups in Sub-Saharan Africa that are in their early stages, as well as African-run startups domiciled in the UK and US with products scalable in African markets.
The accelerator programme features an intensive curriculum delivered in-person and virtually over the course of three months while leveraging existing entrepreneurship education, framework and courses on a variety of topics.

The opportunity to work from Vibranium Valley, a recently launched technology incubation space by Ventures Garden Group.
A minimum of $100,000 investment for qualifying startups.
Access to handpicked networks of global investors and mentors
Eligibility
Must be an early-stage tech startup with at least one woman on the founding and leadership team.
Must be meeting a sustainable need in Africa.
Must have at least a team of two members, including a technical member.
Must be extremely passionate about the idea.

Excellent Minds Initiative Essay Competition 2018

Preamble.
The essay competition is focused on promoting critical thinking, harnessing ideas and developing the talents, abilities, gifts and skills inherent in the Nigerian youths. This we expect shall translate into a ripple effect of awareness and provide a platform for growth for future leaders of Nigeria.
This year’s competition invites young people to be part of the sustainable development goals’ (SDGs) solution by participating in a SDG challenge designed to engage young minds in thinking about the needs of the society; thus, encouraging them to be agents of transformational change and embrace the sustainable development goals.
Essay Topic.
“In not more than 1,000 words, propose a strategic and sustainable innovative approach or idea that you will adopt in addressing any of the sustainable development goals (SDGs), proposals can be for a project, campaign or charity that will assist Nigeria in attaining one or more of the goals, with a focus on a specific local community or state in the country.
Submissions are expected to explain the strategic approach to implementing the idea; identify which United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal this idea supports; and explain how the idea will contribute to attaining this goal.
Eligibility.
The essay is open to undergraduate students in tertiary institutions across Nigeria.

Your essay should be in MS word format using Times New Roman text, font size of 14 and double spacing. The following details should be included on the first page of your essay:
