Position Description

The role is basically to achieve superior customer engagement and intimacy, website traffic and revenue by strategically exploiting all aspects of the social media marketing road map. Salary: N40,000 – N50,000.

Responsibilities

Build and execute social media.

Generate, edit, publish and share meaningful content daily.

Set up and optimize company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of company’s social content.

Moderate all user-generated content.

Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information

Collaborate with sales department to manage reputation, identify prospective clients and coordinate actions.

Requirements

Social media savvy.

Excellent writing, editing (photo/video/text), presentation and communication skills.

Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge.

Knowledge of online marketing and good understanding of major marketing channels

Positive attitude, detail and customer oriented with good multitasking and organisational ability.

The MakeItChallenge

opportunites for nigerian studentsThe MakeIT Challenge is a competition that will challenge teams of students from various secondary schools to compete in building anything they can imagine with recyclable materials. The Make-It Challenge is sponsored by Lagos State Employment Trust Fund and Lagos Innovates and organized by Teens Can Code, an organization helping teenagers living in low-income communities of Nigeria access coding classes, by bringing computer programming courses directly to their schools.

The goal with MakeIT Challenge is to encourage critical thinking and problem-solving in a non-traditional learning environment, as well as to help teenagers have fun in the process of working.

The Grand Prize Winners will receive a ₦100,000 cash prize, the first runner-up gets to receive ₦75,000 cash prize while the second runner-up will receive a cash prize of ₦50,000. Alongside their cash prizes, the winners will be eligible for a relevant free skill acquisition programme which will provide the real-world experience of participating in the transformation of their idea to a live product.

Eligibility

It is open to all creative students across Nigeria.

The required age is 10 to 21 years.

A minimum of two students in a team and maximum of five.

A school may have more than one team submitting different projects.

Unilever Young Entrepreneurs Awards

Unilever Young Entrepreneurs Awards recognise and support brilliant young innovators tackling the planet’s biggest environmental and social challenges, and to help them achieve scale for impact.

So, if you are working on an innovative and scalable technology or initiative that has social impact, this opportunity is for you.

Since the launch of the Awards in 2013, Unilever has reached over 3,500 inspiring young entrepreneurs and their organisations, and provided tailored support and funding to 29 winners.

Up to 8 winners will be provided financial support for their business while the grand enterprise winner goes home with €50,000.
