University of Aberdeen 2023 Stirlingshire Educational Trust Grant for Travel Post-graduation Scholarship, UK.

Stirlingshire Educational Trust awards small grants to current and former residents of Stirlingshire. Purpose – Research work, advanced or special study for those who have obtained a degree. Each candidate should submit to SET a university programme of work/study to be undertaken by the applicant.

Each award will be tenable for one year and may be extended on re-application at the discretion of the governors. Every candidate will be asked to provide documentary evidence of progress made from the university in support of his/her application.

The University of Aberdeen is a public research university in the city of Aberdeen, Scotland. It is an ancient university founded in 1495 when William Elphinstone, Bishop of Aberdeen, petitioned Pope Alexander VI on behalf of James IV, King of Scots to establish King’s College, making it Scotland’s third-oldest university and the fifth-oldest in the English-speaking world.

The university as it is today was formed in 1860 by a merger between King’s College and Marischal College, a second university founded in 1593 as a Protestant alternative to the former.
